I'm officially on YouTube!!!

Hey Everyone! Thank you for tuning in to read about my first youtube video! I am super excited (and a little nervous) to share this with you guys because youtube is something I never thought I would be doing. I am so thankful I have had the opportunity to try something new and hope to bring you all along with me on my journey. My youtube channel will be a place where I can share more of my personal life and more about me as a person. I will be posting a pretty diverse line up of content, anywhere from resin tips and business advice, to Vlogs, travel and lifestyle content, day in my life videos, and anything else you guys express an interest in. I plan to be uploading a new video every Sunday around 3pm. So don’t forget to subscribe to be ready for the drop each week! Your feedback will be really helpful for me as I learn to navigate this new platform, so please comment each week what I did well, what I could improve on, and what you want to see next!

For this post, I am going to be telling you a little bit about what my first video is about. I start off by answering my most asked question: how all this got started. It’s actually a very funny story, as I actually did get into resin art by accident. It all started two years ago when I was just looking for a way to earn a little extra spending money in college and I accidentally ordered resin instead of fluid acrylic paint, which I was originally intending to buy. I wasn’t able to return the resin, so I decided I was just going to have to make it work. I never meant for this to turn into my full time job, but I am so thankful it did! In this video I show you my very first piece, which I actually got on film. It was a disaster and I have improved since then so no judging! If you would like to see me struggle through my first resin piece ever, don’t forget to check out the video!

Looking back at this video has made me realize how far I have come. I am not on the floor of my dining room or my garage anymore, and I actually have my own studio space. I rent a studio room in a co-working environment so I have access to all the woodworking supplies and tools I need. If you watch the video, you will actually be able to see all the space and tools that are available to me, but no sneak peaks of my actual studio yet because that's going to be a video of its own! So keep a look out if you want to see a full studio tour because it'll be coming up in a video soon!

I've barely scratched the surface here, but if you want to go check out my very first youtube videos you can see my first ever resin painting, pictures of me in high school and pictures of my high school art projects, meet some of my friends and get a little peak into whats in store for my channel. It will give you more insight and detail into how I started my business and how I keep it going. Moving forward my content will cover tons of helpful small business information and artist tips, show you all the exclusive behind the scenes footage of my life as an artist that I don't share on my other platforms, and hopefully make you smile, learn, and laugh each week. I'll go ahead and give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has already subscribed and showed their support and I hope you'll join us all for the journey!

Thank you for all of your support, and don’t forget to subscribe and come back every Sunday for the next video!

Super Clear Resin

I've recently transitioned over to a new Epoxy Resin Company - SuperClear Resin Systems. For my resin ocean art, this was the best brand I found in my research.
